Submitting this so no one thinks I'm dead!

This is an acrylic painting I've been working on for about a month on and off. I did sign it, thinking it's done, but I may go back and fix that hideous skull at the bottom.

This is a cropped picture as I could only take a picture with my cell phone in school. I didn't want my camera to get stolen or anything.

I'll eventually scrap this, and post a better picture in the near future.

In real life too, the colors are more saturated and the black and blue blend better.


Stupid cell phone.


EDIT: Changed the picture on 10/24/07 The saturation seems a bit off on my computer though.

Inspired by Edgar Allan Poe's "The Raven."

Yea, I agree. When I finished it, the skull looked good. But when it dried, all these colors popped out and I was like "Oh shit. Better fix it."

Haha. /fail.

More mid-tones between the holes and where the light hits; maybe a little more detail to the ridges and growth plates in the head, Refine the shape a little bit, it seems like sloped back. That's all i can think of :D

When I go back to school Monday I shall fix it. =)

I must say though, it's come a long way since it began. I originally had it flying, but I then came to the realization that I can't paint feathers on wings, so I redid it about 10 times.

This looks like a beautiful painting from the limited and discouraging resolution on my computer screen >.<
the contrast looks like it is down!
